PRODUCT OVERVIEW

What it is and how it works

This screw-on cap has a pressure-actuated valve that remains closed until you begin pressing. AeroPress says that prevents coffee from dripping through during the steep and lets you choose a longer brew time or a coarser grind.

The cap makes an espresso-style concentrate, not true espresso. It must be used with a Standard-size paper or metal filter; the XL brewers and XL filters use a different cap system.

CHECK BEFORE YOU BUY

Compatibility at a glance

The Standard cap fits AeroPress Original, Go, Clear, Premium, Steel, and Go Plus brewers. It does not fit AeroPress XL models and requires a Standard-size filter.

01

Compatible Standard brewers

AeroPress lists Original, Go, Clear, Premium, Steel, and Go Plus as compatible. Check the name and size of your brewer before ordering; the cap is not for AeroPress XL.

02

Use a Standard filter

A Standard AeroPress paper micro-filter or metal filter is required. AeroPress says the cap works with its paper or metal filters, used separately or together. XL filters do not fit.

03

Not an espresso-machine part

This cap attaches only to a compatible AeroPress chamber. The concentrated drink can be used in milk drinks, but AeroPress describes it as espresso-style rather than real espresso.
